Itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TRANSFER

Reception at Montevideo Airport. Transfer to the city of Colonia del Sacramento, located 177 km west of Montevideo on the coast of the Rio de la Plata.

In the afternoon, Pick Up for a Walking Tour in the Historic Center of the City, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995, as it illustrates the successful fusion of Portuguese, Spanish, and post-colonial styles. The old neighborhood was founded in 1680 by Portuguese conquistadors, then occupied by Spanish conquistadors, and both maintained a dispute over this territory for almost a century.

We will start the tour in front of the Portón de Campo, visiting the original 1720s Calle de los Suspiros, the Monastery of San Francisco, which is the oldest ruins of Uruguay, the lighthouse, the Governor's House, the Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament, and other buildings of the historic district of Colonia.

DAY 2: ANTIGUA PLAZA DE TOROS

Breakfast.

Pick up and transfer to the old Real de San Carlos Bullring, the only bullfighting arena in Uruguay.
It was founded in 1910 and had more than eighty bullfights, of which only eight were official, because in 1912, the then-president José Batlle y Ordóñez banned bullfights in the country.

Towards the end of 1912, it was closed for good and remained abandoned until 2019, when its restoration began, and it was officially reopened in 2021 to function as a center for shows, meetings, and sporting events.

During the guided tour, we will enjoy the photo gallery that is exhibited in a room of the venue, we will tour the second floor, the bleachers, and we will be told the great history that keeps this emblematic building of the city. Return to the hotel.

DAY 3: CARMELO AND WINES

Breakfast.

Check out and departure to the city of Carmelo.

On the way, we will make a stop at Fripp Winery, where, surrounded by a privileged landscape, we will be welcomed by its warm team. The establishment stands out for its close and personalized treatment of its visitors. Upon arrival, we will have a guided tour of the winery and vineyards, and then we will have a Premium tasting of their wines, accompanied by a snack of regional products.

Continuation to the city of Carmelo until arriving at your hotel.

Check out and transfer to Montevideo. On the way to the capital of the country, we will stop at La Vigna ECO Lifestyle, a refuge in the countryside that offers tranquility, homemade delicacies, and bucolic landscapes that invite you to relax and enjoy a balanced mix between the agrarian architecture of the European immigrants and the refined exotic avant-garde interior design.

Upon arrival, we will enjoy a guided cheese tasting, made entirely within La Vigna:

Sheep, goat, and jersey cow cheeses, 100% organic and handmade. We will taste soft cheeses, moldy rind cheeses, hard and cured cheeses, as well as cheeses with penicillium camemberti and penicillium roqueforti, with each step paired with a glass of wine selected by our sommelier—continuation of the trip to Montevideo.
